City in Action

City In Action is a group of active citizens with expertise in the field of archtitecture, city planning, art, Museum Education and didactics. Their goal is to sensitize other citizens for aesthetic building culture and urban qualities of the built environment. City in action was held during 2004 - 2006 in terms of campaigns, workshops and projects. They should promote the discussion as regards urban development. In its centre was the design of the railway bridge on Max Kolbe Straße in Bochum within the framework of LichtKunstTore (art with light on gateways) of the town of Bochum. A summary of the works can be found at the end of the article as a pdf-file.
